Product Review: Mane N Tail Equine Sprayer

Do you have a big dirty dog that’s difficult to wash? Do you live somewhere without a bathtub where you are forced to hose down your dog or wash them in a stall shower? Does your shower run out of hot water quickly? Well we unfortunately suffer all four of these problems. Luckily we do have an outside shower (in addition to a very small stall shower inside) that we use primarily for dog washing. My husband and I have been searching for a way to wash the dogs that is quick, thorough, and uses warm water. In addition to our search for good, inexpensive shampoo, which we found in Cowboy Magic Rosewater shampoo (see my review here), we came across the Mane ‘n Tail Equine sprayer. I hadn’t used it till today when I was in desperate need of a quick way to wash the dogs down after a walk in our muddy orchard. The device is intended for horses, but it works great with big dogs too and it attaches via hose to your shower. My husband set up a dual valve device for our outdoor shower so you can turn the valve to the doggie hose off when you want to use the primary shower head for human showers. The sprayer comes with several settings to allow you to rinse down the dog first, then spray them with soap (with two levels of suds), and then rinse again. It also comes prepped with shampoo but you can add any kind you like! Its essentially like an all-in-one doggie car wash.

Today I was able to hose down and wash two dogs COVERED in mud in about 5 minutes. Incredible.

If you are interested in picking one up, I see you can order them here on for about $11. Its a steal for the price and after my great experience today, I highly recommend you pick one up too,
